Pennsylvania Log Farmhouse

When the Ulster emigrants arrived in America, their first concerns were food and shelter, and this area of the park has replicas of the homes they built – ranging from stone-built houses to log cabins, log barns, log houses and Plantation houses.  They built shelters for their animals, feed and crops; smokehouses and spring-cooled larders for preserving their food; and they planted herb and vegetable gardens.
