Gamble Library

The College’s Gamble Library is the largest theological library in Northern Ireland with an outstanding collection of over 65,000 books, 20,000 pamphlets and numerous manuscripts and journals relating to the story of Irish Presbyterianism.

Most books are housed within the main library area, but many less-used items are stored in other parts of the College and can be obtained on request.

The Ulster-Scots always placed a high premium on education, not only in terms of an educated ministry but also in having a literate membership. Today, almost 200 people study courses in Union Theological College every year.
