Hand & Pen Orange Hall Exterior
Built in 1884 in the townland of Corbeg, Silverstream, County Monaghan, this small country hall was used by the Hand and Pen LOL (Loyal Orange Lodge) for its monthly meetings and social events. The hall’s layout is typical of small country Orange Halls of the period.
The Folk Museum houses a variety of old buildings and dwellings which have been collected from various parts of Ireland and rebuilt in the grounds of the museum, brick by brick. It celebrates all aspects of our culture including many elements of Ulster-Scots heritage.
